The Slide
Theo the Squirrel has a simple life. He is content with his friends, work, and daily living. His friend, Owl, is always there for Theo, until one day when Theo leaves Owl and his former life behind. Theo follows Fox and Snake to the level of life above his simple level. The wonders of the new level captivate the squirrel for only a moment until he meets a little boy on his way to a better level. Although Fox and Snake lured Theo up a level, the two choose to stay behind as Theo moves up with the little boy. Theo never soothes his hunger as he moves up level after level. The people, animals, and odd creatures he meets appear to be happy and enlightened, but Theo eventually sees through those he meets. He also sees past the temporary wonder of the heights he reaches. Yet, his quest to get to higher levels becomes an unhealthy obsession, and while Theo tries to enjoy the levels that he attains, he is compelled to move on and on. Theo decides to end his search at the highest of levels, yet the thought of one more level tempts him and eventually reels him in. This level shows Theo the Squirrel the true heights of his life.
